Abstract
Much of the literature on monamine oxidase and diamine oxidase, since the very early observations on tyramine oxidation in the liver(1–4) and tissue his-taminase,(5) has been reviewed in articles by Blaschko(6–9) and Zeller.(10) The present article will deal primarily with the distribution, properties, and functions of amine oxidases of the nervous system.
