Abstract
Endotoxin* injected into tumor bearing animals and humans may result in regression or even elimination of the tumor(1,2). Endotoxin alsc causes release of host products, including interferon(3), an antiviral factor which also has effects on tumor cell replication in vitro and in vivo in animals and possible humans(4), and tumor necrosing factor (TNF), which may be the basis for direct injury to the tumor(5).
