Gender Dysphoria and Gender Reorientation

  • Chapter
Gender Dysphoria

Part of the book series: Perspectives in Sexuality ((PISE))

Abstract

The transsexual male believes that he would be happier if he could live as a female; the transsexual female believes that she would be happier if she could live as a male. In this chapter, we shall examine whether or not this turns out to be the case. Before we begin to look at the evidence, however, we will define the language we will be using and present the plan of the chapter.
