Initial Temperature Effect on the Shock Parameters of Some Liquids

  • Chapter
High-Pressure Science and Technology

Abstract

The system-independent formalism recently proposed to describe shock compressed matter is being applied to the experimental results on some liquids shocked at different initial temperatures. The results obtained provide further confirmation of the validity of the above-mentioned formalism and gives a description of the general behavior of the shock parameters of some liquids when shocked at different initial temperatures.
