Abstract
Due to the great progress in surgical techniques, limb lengthening is frequently adopted to improve stature in the young achondroplastic patient. To face the various problems connected with dwarfism and with this treatment, an interdisciplinary team has been set up consisting of pediatricians, surgeons, psychologists and social workers.
