Abstract
The decatron is a gas-discharge decimal counter. Transfer of the discharge from one cathode to the next one in a two-pulse decatron is accomplished by means of two pulses shifted in time, one with respect to the other. The first pulse is applied to the first guides, while a second, delayed pulse is applied to the second guides (when the discharge moves in the forward direction).
