Abstract
High-speed turbines operating at cryogenic temperatures are uniquely suited for providing long life and reliable operation for cryogenic refrigeration systems. Large cryogenic plant turbines have been used for years. Only recently have miniature cryogenic turbines become available. It quickly became evident that miniature cryogenic turbine expanders require special design considerations.
