Generic Pipelines Using Docker

Abstract

We’ve covered a lot in this book so far. You’ve seen the transition from monolithic one pipeline per application style CI/CD processes all the way to a fully generic implementation. At this point we’ve created a truly generic and platform-independent pipeline that can deploy any number of languages. expanded upon and even look at implementations in some other scripting languages. The goal of this chapter is to expand on the knowledge gained so far, and to further explore and emphasize the power of generic pipelines.
