Abstract
Investigations on the three-dimensional structure of water soluble proteins showed that they consist of one to several globular domains (Richardson, 1981). Module, introduced as a compact structure in globular domains, revealed that it consists of contiguous 10 to 40 amino acids, and domains and modules have a close correlation with exon-intron organization of the DNA sequence encoding proteins (Gô, 1985).
