Abstract
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction remains one of the most common procedures performed by orthopaedic surgeons. Reconstructive techniques continue to evolve as ongoing research advances our understanding of the complexities of the native ACL. ACL reconstruction with anatomical positioning of singlebundle grafts using anteromedial portal drilling techniques as well as a heightened interest in double-bundle reconstruction are recent refl ections of the ongoing attempt to replicate more accurately the anatomy, biomechanics, and function of the normal ACL.
