Abstract

Nowadays, a number of robotic applications are built around Cloud computing. This paradigm is closely combined with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Generally, embedded systems like robots have limited memory and energy consumption. Hence, embedded application for these systems must consider temporal and spatial complexity. Among the solutions for this, we can adopt SOA. This software architecture allows saving the running time and loading memory. Our work deals with this programming strategy to solve the localization of a set of mobile robots. Indeed, we are as well as also considering a multi-robot system connected in a WIFI network. This system is composed of a number of mobile robots. They cooperate with each other to fulfill one mission such as surveying. The aim of the present study is to make the different robot ubiquitous so that anyone of the multi-robot system will be able to locate the other one. In order to solve the problem of localization in the multi-robot cooperation, we suggest a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)-based web service using multi-sourcing location. Furthermore, the whole controlling system will be distributed on Cloud. The carried solution will be illustrated by a simulation that will emphasize the benefits of the SOA in such systems.
