Abstract

Main objective of this paper is to analyze and propose solution for choosing optimal location for wind speed measurement in urban areas. When measuring wind speed on 12 months period it is crucial to find spot with best wind characteristics. In planning wind power plant there must be exact information about wind speed so it is highly important to have measurement in optimal location, where wind aggregate will be placed. This paper shows process of choosing optimal location using short-term measurement and Ansys software for wind simulation. Final goal is to have best output on long-term measurement and wind aggregate power.
