Abstract
This chapter reviews demographic changes in the unprecedented growth of an aging society, identifies the prevalence and impact of geriatric behavioral health challenges, examines the history of public policies that have shaped geriatric behavioral health policies in the USA, and examines geriatric behavioral health policies within the broader context of public policies.
