Acetabular Fractures in Older Patients

Abstract

Unfortunately upward of one third of older patients who sustain an acetabular fracture will develop posttraumatic osteoarthritis. Conversion hip replacement requires specialized skills and equipment to deal with the scarring, bony deformities, and implants present from the initial fracture management.
