Abstract

Nowadays electronic security systems are not only about the alarm going off with a loud beeping when an object has been disturbed. They cover multiple other useful features that ensure the owner’s safety and his properties. These features can be the basic elements such as fire monitoring, gas leakage, flooding, assault or health emergency. Or more sophisticated features such as an interlinked net of motion detectors, pressure and temperature change in the room, a camera system with a facial and fingerprint recognition, retinal scan, etc. Each critical situation is evaluated and automatically reported via a text message or via the Internet to the user application. The paper describes a complex system of securing people and their properties with the use of innovative technologies. The paper is dealing with the creation of a secure and fire protection system using the microcontroller Arduino, and it deals with the creation of a web interface for system control and management.
