The Soils of Nevada

Abstract

This chapter discusses the role of these processes in the development of soils in Nevada. The 17 generalized soil-forming processes occurring in soils of Nevada include argilluviation, melanization, silicification, calcification, gleization, cambisolization, vertization, solonization, gypsification, andisolization, and paludization.
