Abstract
The use of cognitive assistants has grown significantly in recent years. The recent appearance of advanced devices for the detection and monitoring of a wide range of physical tasks has allowed a great advancement in the development of environments that facilitate the well-being of people, particularly the elderly. In this sense, this paper proposes the development of a physical cognitive assistant that allows the monitoring of hand gestures exercises for elderly people or people with some kind of hand-related disease. In addition, the cognitive assistant incorporates the detection of the patient’s emotional state during the exercise.
