Abstract

Temporal oscillations in electrochemical reactions (such as the dissolution of Cu or Fe electrodes in certain electrolytes) have been reported by a number of authors over many years. There has been renewed interest in such systems recently /1/, mainly because a rich variety of complex dynamical behavior (such as mixed-mode oscillations quasiperiodicity and different routes to chaos) could be observed with a good S/N-ratio for these reactions.
