Abstract
Mechatronic technologies for railway vehicles improve their dynamical performance allowing higher speeds, they result in more comfort for the passengers and less wear of the tracks. Thus, transportation by rail is getting more attractive and less expensive. With reference to mechatronically-designed rail vehicle six projects completed by the author during the last decade are summarized.
