Abstract
This study focuses on how to respond to losses incurred by conventional or organic farmers due to the presence of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in their crops, primarily from a tort law perspective. It is assumed that the presence of these GMOs results either directly or indirectly from the commercial cultivation of GM crops which are approved for this purpose according to EU legislation.
