Abstract

This article proposes a concept of Big Data Advisory & Benchmarking platform in a virtualized environment based on VMware vSphere. The key value of the proposed platform is a unified Big Data business-oriented benchmarking approach, data collection approach and an advisory system based on sequential process modeling and cost comparison model. Unified benchmarking ensures same tasks using the same data. Data collection utilizes vSphere metrics for system performance. A prototype solution is developed.
