Abstract
While not strictly a surgical procedure, the number of injections given in our age and especially in the future and the fact that in many countries these injections by law must be given in the OR justify discussing the preparation for, and technique of, intraocular injections to reduce the complication rate. The peri- and postoperative care also needs to be carefully decided.
