Health Disparities in Respiratory Medicine

Abstract

In this volume, you will explore complex connections between poor respiratory health, the proximal causes, the social and environmental determinants that underpin those causes, and suggested solutions.

Following this introduction, in the remainder of this volume you can explore the creation and possible responses to health disparities in regard to tobacco smoke exposure, environmental air quality, occupational exposures, pulmonary function testing, medication adherence, acute respiratory distress syndrome, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, tuberculosis, lung cancer, critical illness, sleep-related breathing disorders, and end-of-life care.
