Angiokeratoma

  • Chapter
Vulvar Disease

Abstract

Angiokeratomas are small, mostly asymptomatic, benign lesions consisting of superficial dilated blood vessels. They can be single or multiple and often appear in adulthood and increase with age. Their etiology is unknown, and treatment is generally not recommended or required. Multiple angiokeratomas in a young person suggest consideration of Fabry disease.
