Abstract
Reflex seizures are those triggered by a specific stimulus which is characteristic for every one patient. Stimuli may come from the environment or from within the body. Photosensitive epilepsy is the commonest form of reflex epilepsy induced by flickering lights, television, video-games and discotheque lights. Some patients may have both reflex and spontaneous seizures. In epilepsy with reflex seizures only, avoiding the exposure to the triggering stimulus, often results to freedom of seizures without antiepileptic medication.
