Abstract

This paper traces First Lady Michelle Obama’s activities on the campaign trail as she rallied for former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. It traces and explores her activism and visibility during the last six months of 2016 to examine how she expanded her role and questioned existing power relationships.
