Abstract
The goal of this chapter is to provide a brief overview of the utility of pursuing a second professional degree, in addition to the MD, for practicing clinicians. The chapter will review the most common dual-degree types (MD/MBA, MD/MPH, MD/MPP) as well as the most common routes to receiving these degrees. Additional considerations include tuition implications for second-degree candidates as well as when in clinical training it may be appropriate to pursue a second degree.
