Summary

In the context of the GAMM Workshop, the flow in the Francis turbine runner has been calculated at EDF with a 3D steady Euler Code implementing a Clebsch Hawthorne formulation (splitting the velocity into a potential and a rotational part) and using a finite element discretization.

This paper presents a description of the method and analyses the results obtained with 2 different inlet data sets (experimental velocities and corrected velocities corresponding to measured flowrate).
