Abstract
The present paper dwells upon the over-all usage of digital library services for the medical professionals. The medical professionals are in constant need of easy access to the latest information for better care of the patients and the research work. Earlier the access to Medical Information by the Doctor and researcher was difficult because of it being available in the print form only. Now, during the digital revolution, information technology has become too important for the library services to be ignored. Digital library provides rapid and convenient access to the health care information. The digital library services are based on existing Internet communication standards and the World Wide Web software technology to store, organize and disseminate information. The digital library offers the latest updated information about the new modalities of treatment to the medical professionals. The library and information science professionals should accept the challenges, fully explore and utilize the resources for the timely benefit to the medical professionals.
