Abstract

This paper reports on the goals, rationale and first results of the European INTEROP Network of Excellence concerned with Interoperability Research for Networked Enterprises Applications and Software. The paper presents the interoperability issues that arise between and inside enterprises systems, applications and software, and the different activities of the network to solve problems of fragmentation in this domain.
