Abstract

Speech recognition technology — the ability of a program to recognise and execute voice commands is changing the way consumers and professionals interact with the mobile environment. Speech technology, integrated into the mobile network and devices enable a new breed of applications that deliver advanced user interactions or personal wireless services. Given the constraints of mobile keypads and screens, speech is the logical interface that will be a growth driver for mobile applications.
