Abstract
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is gaining significance in the fields of automation and user-to-machine interaction. In this paper, the authors present a working framework for a grammar based ASR system. The paper discuses the state-of-the-art speech recognition technology used in the system. Three applications of this technology are discussed: in robotics, forms filling and telephony.
