Abstract

The main goal of this chapter is to derive the relevant equations for angular distribution and spin polarization of the emitted Auger electrons. The derived equations are of physical importance in a two-fold manner. On the one hand, they form the starting point for the realization of numerical calculations for angle and spin resolved Auger transitions. On the other hand, they are the necessary basis for the planning and performing of experiments as well as for their subsequent analysis.
