Quality management (QM) works to achieve the goals of the treatment. With even the simplest of partial breast treatments, one may encounter errors that degrade the fulfillment of the prescription or possibly even endanger the patient. Thus, QM establishes activities that assist in delivering the correct dose to the correct location, safely. Each step in any procure, for either brachytherapy or external-beam approaches, may require some QM. This chapter lay out recommendations for QM activities that lead to the achievement of the goals of the treatment while not overburdening the staff, from the beginning of the process through to the completion of treatment.
