Abstract

The influence of material removal on the modal change of blade was investigated by FEM simulation and experiment. It was found that the modal of blade was complex. Natural frequency of blade distributed nonuniform: it was denseness in some areas and sparseness in others. Frequency was changed with the material removal: modal frequency decreased with the material removal in whole manufacture process; decreased slope appeared at the process beginning and it was became decreased slowly at the middle and end of process. The machined surface was defaced because cutting force frequency was near some state’s modal frequency and resonance was arisen. Base one this research, the spindle speed was changed with the manufacture proceed. The rate of blade finished products was improved by this way.
