Abstract
The paper designed a new system to test education information system’s compliance with the national CELTS standard. The new system is composed of three loosely coupled components: the XML schema documents translated from the CELTS standard, the XML parsing and validating package and the program interface. The XML parsing and validating package is the heart of the system. It automatically parses the XML schema documents fed into the system, and then, builds up an internal data structure for the successive validating process. This approach is proved to be a great success, which decouples the XML schema documents and the XML data documents and makes the whole system more adaptable to the evolution of the CELTS standard.
