Ratio Method to the Mean Estimation Using Coefficient of Skewness of Auxiliary Variable

Abstract

This paper proposes some ratio-type estimators for population mean using known skewness coefficient of auxiliary variable. Theoretically, the expressions of mean square error(MSE) up to first order of approximation for all proposed ratio estimators are obtained. The efficiency between the proposed estimators and some known estimators is compared. The results are supported by an application with original data.
