Zusammenfassung
Management bedeutet die Umwandlung von Wissen in Nutzen und das Steuern von komplexen sozialen Systemen. Unternehmen haben ihre einzige Berechtigung im Erzeugen von Kundennutzen. Gewinn ist daher nicht Ziel unternehmerischen Handelns, sondern Erfordernis! Neben der Kostenrechnung, die als betriebliches Rechnungswesen zum Ziel hat, Fragen im Rahmen der Kostenartenrechnung, der Kostenstellenrechnung, der Kostenträgerrechnung und der Erfolgsrechnung zu beantworten, gibt es weitere Controllinginstrumente. Für den OP-Manager interessante oder bedeutsame Instrumente werden dargestellt, damit ein strategisches und operatives Controlling im eigenen Bereich erfolgreich ausgeübt bzw. veranlasst werden kann. Management bedeutet aber nicht nur die Erzielung von Gewinn, sondern die dauerhafte Sicherung des Fortbestandes eines Betriebes am Markt. Controlling-Instrumente brauchen daher neben einer operativen immer auch eine strategische Komponente.
