Zusammenfassung
Ziele bilden die Grundlage für die Zusammenarbeit und stellen den Ausgangspunkt für das Collaboration Engineering dar. Sie fungieren entsprechend als erste Ebene im Sechs-Ebenen-Kollaborationsmodell (SeKMo). Im Rahmen von CE werden die persönlichen Absichten der Kollaborationsteilnehmer sowie die Gruppenziele als Kollaborationsziele verstanden. Während die persönlichen Ziele auf individueller Ebene formuliert sind, werden die Gruppenziele von den Auftraggebern in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Collaboration Engineer definiert. Hierbei erfolgt eine Operationalisierung der Gruppenziele anhand unterschiedlicher Kriterien (Zielinhalt, Zielausmaß, Zeitbezug, Geltungsbereich). Die Relevanz der Ziele – und insbesondere die Formulierung dieser wird im Rahmen des Collaboration Engineerings anhand von drei grundlegenden Theorien bekräftigt: der Yield Shift Theory of Satisfaction (YSTS), der Consensus Building Theory (CBT) und der Focus Theory of Group Productivity (FTGP). Die YSTS beschreibt die Effekte bzw. Folgen der Zielerreichung bzw. Nicht-Zielerreichung auf die individuelle Zufriedenheit, während anhand der CBT ein Prozessmodell zur Konsensbildung im Rahmen der Kollaboration formuliert werden kann. Die FTGP beschreibt hingegen den positiven Einfluss der Zielkongruenz auf die Entstehung der Bereitschaft zu kognitivem Aufwand seitens der Gruppenmitglieder.
