Abstract
In the systematic part of the book, three ostracod groups with freshwater representatives are included: Cytheroidea, Darwinuloidea, and Cypridoidea. Taxonomic keys to each systematic unit down to the species level are provided. In addition, brief diagnoses for all systematic units down to the genus level are given. For each genus, a list of species with the type locality and repository of the type material (if known) is presented. The text is accompanied with the maps of distribution, line drawings of the key generic characters, as well as numerous SEM photographs. This chapter covers the Darwinuloidea.
