Abstract
Τα τελευταία 60 χρόνια, παρόλο που η Ευρώπη έχει γί- νει μια διακριτή πολιτική και οικονομική οντότητα, εντού- τοις παρουσιάζει έντονη πολιτισμική και γλωσσική ποικι- λότητα. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι, από τα πορτογαλικά έως τα πο- λωνικά και από τα ιταλικά έως τα ισλανδικά, η επικοινω- νία μεταξύ των ευρωπαίων πολιτών σε καθημερινό αλλά και σε επιχειρηματικό και πολιτικό επίπεδο παρεμποδίζεται αναπόφευκτα από γλωσσικούς φραγμούς.
