Abstract

Hrvatski jezik pripada zapadnoj južnoslavenskoj podskupini slavenske grane inoeuropske jezične porodice. U ovome trenutku hrvatski jezik broji preko 5,5 milijunaizvornih govornika. Hrvatski se jezik sastoji od narječjai nacionalnoga standardnoga jezika Hrvata, kojije službeni jezik više od 4 milijuna stanovnika Republike Hrvatske, a uz bošnjački i srpski također je jedanod tri službena jezika Bosne i Hercegovine gdje ga govorioko 700.000 govornika.
