Abstract
The course of perception for ageing in different cultures is elucidated to derive recommendations for intercultural human-computer interaction (HCI) design. How ageing influences the usage and the design of intercultural HCI is analyzed. Software development and usability engineering are perceived quite differently in various parts of the world according to the age of the respective interpreters. The main tasks are discussed which users request depending on their age. The discussion covers how age influences software developers and how UI designers collaborate with respect to different cultural backgrounds.
