Abstract

Flory′s original theory of step-growth polymerization as it was presented 1946 in Chem. Rev. [1] had two short-comings. First, it ignored any influence of intramolecular reactions, and second, in his mathematical equations he did not differentiate between KC and TC polycondensations, because in the absence of cyclization such a differentiation is not necessary.
