Abstract

The English-Czech dictionary offers the following Czech equivalents for the term “brand image”: (1) image of a trademark (image obchodní značky event. pověst obchodní značky) (2) image of a product that is associated with the name of a trademark (pověst výrobku, který je spojován s obchodní značkou). (3) sound of trademark (pověst obchodní značky event. renomě obchodní značky). The first equivalent seems to be the best one. For the sake of simplification, the term “brand image” will be used in the text that follows.
