Zusammenfassung
Die nichtalkoholische Steatohepatitis (NASH) ist eine Leberkrankheit mit den histologischen Zeichen einer Alkohol-induzierten Leberkrankheit bei Patienten ohne nennenswerten Alkoholgenuss. Zahlreiche Bezeichnungen wurden diesem Krankheitsbild früher gegeben: pseudoalkoholische Leberkrankheit, Fettleberhepatitis» diabeti- sche Hepatitis, Steatonekrose. Meist kommt die NASH bei übergewichtigen Frauen im mittleren Lebensalter vor und ist am häufigsten mit Hyperglykämie und Hyperlipidämie assoziiert. Im Einsendematerial großer pathologischer Institute macht die NASH heute ca. 10% aller Lebererkrankungen aus. Die klinischen Konsequenzen bei der NASH sind nicht klar definiert Progressionen zur Zirrhose kommen vor. Klare Therapieindikationen existieren nicht. Ursodeoxycholsäure scheint eine wirksame Therapie zu sein.
