Abstract
The question concerning the basis of coronary therapy today means, what is the basis of antianginal therapy, the therapy of ischemic heart disease. In this symposium we shall not deal with the treatment or prevention of arteriosclerosis as the main cause of ischemic heart disease. We shall discuss rather the improvement of the relationship between oxygen supply and oxygen consumption of the heart, both in the acute state of angina and as long-term treatment.
