Abstract

In our clinic between 1961 and 1971, 583 HA were performed. Careful study of the case records and radiographs and of questionnaires sent to the patients was complemented by personal follow-up of more than 300 patients and careful critical evaluation of the data obtained. We came to the conclusion that HA still has a justifiable place in the operative treatment of hip disease.
