Renal Kallikrein and Regulation of Blood Pressure in Man

  • Chapter
Bradykinin, Kallidin and Kallikrein

Part of the book series: Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology ((HEP,volume 25 / 1))

Abstract

The presence of a vasodilator in human urine was first described by Abelous and Bardier in 1909. Subsequently, the presence of kallikrein was described by Frey and Kraut (1928) in human urine and it was assumed to be the vasodilator of Abelous and Bardier.
