Abstract

The 4300-Maschine Simulation facility is an enhancement package for the control program (CP) of VM/370. It allows the function of a virtual 4 300-Maschine in addition to the already available IBM/360 and IBM/370 virtual machines. 4300-Maschine simulation provides all functions to simulate all new 4300-Maschine instructions, the 4300-Maschine storage and I/O instructions.

The project was realized to allow the development of the operating system and hardware test programs for a new computing system.

Das Projekt wurde realisiert im IBM Laboratorium Boeblingen unter Mitarbeit von Hans Boettiger Karl Klenk Bobby Lie Richard Pohl Alfred Schaten
